Today is Done

I am worn out. Long busy day at work. I picked up Kaylee after work, and she was more tired thatn me. I would not have thought it possible. She fell asleep on the way home, and slept for a few hours, waking up just in time for dinner. This should be no surprise to me at this point. She was cranky, changed her, feed her, and we played for a while. Then back to bed for baby.

Hubby is off tomorrow. He will probably hang around the house and do nothing all day, while I go work another hard day.

On an aside, I am going to have to work on cutting back on the emails I get. I have way too many that come in and with less time in my day to clean them out. It is driving me and my BB crazy. I get a lot of text messages too, but those are from my upoc group, and that is ok. They probably think I have run away in fear or something I respond so little these days.

I should get to bed, hopefully I will have lots of relax time this weekend. I need it. What mom doesn't?

Still alive and power is on

So the center of the storm passed close by. The storm may be getting stronger. I think we will be fine.
Its started raining again. The presure is dropping.
We had one power flicker tonight, and one during the day. I hope it stays calm tonight. I have to be at work very early.

I have to mention my BB text message buddies because they feel unloved. So hi there upoc guys and gals.

I miss Kaylee. I always miss her when she is away. :(

I think I'm going to try and sleep now.

Rain has Picked up

The rain has picked up here. We had, well none... and now we have lots.

I took Kaylee to Mom's as I am supposed to open at work tomorrow. That means she will be with mom for the worst part of the storm. Although the worst part may not be that bad. Apparently there is a possibility it could get stronger once it is back on the water and kick back some roughness on those of us on the coast. Guess we will see later on tonight. It seems to be going slow too, as they like to do. Making us all wait.

When I took Kaylee to Mom's there was not a lot of traffic. There was more when I was coming back home. I was starving so I suggested we go out to eat. It was odd driving around as some places were closed, some were open. Some places were ghost towns, others were busy. Most of the open resturants had cars in the lots. Gas stations were empty. Home Depot had people. Denny's was closed, as was Dairy Queen. Most other places to eat were open. We went to Steak N Shake, where they had storm shutters up. That was a bit different. It made it very dark. The rain started as we were leaving. Went back to Mom's put Kaylee down for a nap and headed home to wait it out.
We shall see what happenes next....

Not much here

Seems like Ernesto pettered out. Had a cloudy rainy day here so far. The storm is now a depression. Looks like it will not pack as much punch as they thought yesterday. We should all be ok and back to normal tomorrow.

Early Wednesday AM

Well, we are alive. Looks wet outside. I just rolled out of bed. Let me shower, get some coca-cola in my system, maybe eat and somewhere after the shower get Kaylee up if she is awake. Then we will see what is going on.

I understand a part of Merritt Island lost power already when a boat mast hit a power line. Apparently most of it is back on, the rest is to be on by 1am.

Be back later...

Oops

Well, I hit the button too soon and I am too lazy to edit.

Kaylee actually went down the steps this weeked.... no that is not a typo, I meant down. Her fear of down is over, or at least at bay. Although it was more like falling than walking down the steps she did it. She did not really fall, just to clarify. I held on tight to her the whole time. But she hasn't gotten the art of walking down the stairs down yet, but she is good going up.
She is also saying some words. Strange words... clearly she watches too much Seasme Street as she will say cookie, just like cookie monster. She gets phone, book (her favorate). For button she says but, which is funny. She can say key, no, mama, dada. She calls both her shoes and socks sock no matter how hard I try to break her of the habbit.
OK, enough baby.... let's try something else.
No work for me tomorrow due to one storm floating just south of florida. The schools are closed, we have battened down the hatches. I HATE this part where we sit and wait for the storm to come and get us. Atleast this one should attack during daylight hours. This makes me very happy as I am already afraid of the dark. Having a bad storm at night with the power going out will scare me even worse. And I have a baby to be brave for.

On a Blackberry note..... I can not wait for the new OS 4.2... It can not get here soon enough. And new BBs on the horizen... very interesting. I don't think I will give up my full keypad anytime soon. I like it much better than the SureType.
I still love my new Piel Frama Wallet Case. It is awsome. I love being able to take just it in a pocket instead of a purse filled with junk. The quailty is amazing too.

Ok, off to bed I think... more updates on the effects of Ernesto on Central Florida later. As of today, it seems ok, save for NASA where they can not make up thier minds about what to do with a huge expensive shuttle. Now that they have move it back to the launch pad I am waiting to hear Ernesto suddnely strenghtened into a hurricane. We shall see. :)

August is almost over

Well, this month is almost over. And I have been bad, not posting enough.
