Another Thing, or maybe two

Ok, what is up with parents getting mad about a school in FL that does a lil experiment every year where some students are picked to be "Jews" and treated worse than the others to show what happened in the holocost (I am probably spelling that wrong - sorry). I can understand it might be harder for a real jewish student, and agree that maybe using something else might be a little better, but overall I think it is brilliant and would sign my lil one up in a heartbeat (she's a lil young yet). A dad was mad his kid was crying.... but that was the point. It was a horrid time and horrid things happened, crying is a good response to that. It seems to me its just a Dad that wants to throw a fit about something, and this appeared. I could be wrong, but that is my two cents.

And in TX apparently you can get arrested while still in the bar for being drunk. I am not sure what the point is other than to destroy the bar business in TX, and quite possibly the entire tourist market there. I have no plans to travel in TX and although I am not a person to go to a bar and drink, I will avoid TX just on princapal.

Still Busy - At least its Friday

Well, at least it is Friday. I am so tired today its not funny. I have not been getting enough sleep. I have troubles falling asleep and troubles staying asleep. I have my help coming at work, just another week or two and it will be much better. I will be able to work normal hours and sleep and spend time with Kaylee.

Kaylee is much better at walking. She is not to sure about the shoes yet. They force her to walk like a normal person instead of like a ballerina.

Ok, back to work :)

Busy life

Things have been busy. I am working what feels like 80 hours a week. Not counting time with Kaylee. She is trying hard to walk. We bought her shoes today. And some clothes, even though I have more baby clothes than I need.
Hubby's. Family is coming in 2 weeks. Won't slow down then either. I am hoping work wil slow down soon.

Off to bed

I stayed home today as Kaylee and I were a little under the weather. I think I am starting to feel better and about to start on a good nights sleep to make sure tomorrow is better.

Kaylee keeps grabbing an ear sometimes, which makes me wonder what is wrong with it. I hope she did not get my ear infections. I don't think mine started that young though.

She is working hard on walking. And I discovered that if I give her a water bottle that I am drinking from, the sports ones with the sippy spout, she will drink water. She will not take it from a bottle though. Maybe it is a good thing, who knows.

Well I am feeling tired, even after napping when Kaylee did today. Sure sign I am not at 100%.
Sweet dreams to all.

Been Busy

Well, its been very busy around here. Trying to get things set up at work, Kaylee is trying to walk, and still trying to keep the house up and running... laundry and dishes and grocries.

Kaylee is much better at walking. She still needs help to keep herself upright, but she is much more stable now than she was. She still refuses to crawl, but she will roll over and over to get where she wants to go.

Zander is not sure what to think of all this.

Kaylee is trying to walk

Kaylee is trying to walk. She holds on to something, mostly our hands. She keeps stepping on her own feet. She can stand on her own if she tries. She also falls down sometimes. It is interesting. She wants to try walking and standing up all the time. I had to stop taking her shirt off by pulling it over both hands at once. She uses that to launch herself to standing.
We shall see how long it is before she is walking on her own completly.

RIM and NTP

So its settled. I am glad its over and heartbroken that NTP got money from RIM for patents that have been tossed. I am glad there are no royalties involved and that it is a one time pay out deal. But still NTP should have been kicked out on the street penniless. How can the legal system allow it? It would be one thing if the patent office upheld the patents in question. I might have not liked it but I would have had to agree. However, that is not what happened. The judge should be law bound to see the new evidence and go, oh, the patents are not valid, well, NTP has no case. Appeals or not, justice was not served, she was completly and utterly denied. To me it is sad and another example of the messed up legal system we have in the USA. Like a woman sueing over hot coffee. Well ofcourse the coffee is hot, that is what makes it coffee. There are people out there who make carrers out of sueing other companies and people. That is the only way they get money. It is 100% craziness that should not be allowed.
People are afraid to do things at times because they might get sued for crazy amounts of money. Doctors are afraid to practice, teachers to teach, heck, even cooks to cook.

Of course speaking of teachers, there is the one that has gotten a lot of attention for compairing President Bush to Hitler. He is entitled to his opinion, but the rant (and I head a large part of the recording and rant is the best word to describe it) he should have had better discretion about what he says in his classroom during his class. The kids couldn't leave, they were forced to listen and they were very radical views. It would have been different if it had been an after school gathering students chose to attend. Not to mention what did it all have to do with World Geography?

Anyhow, I am going to get back to watching my tv from this week. It has been crazy mad busy all week at home and work.

Crazy Mel

So I look and see on my blog last update 2/26. I am thinking - What?! No Way! I know I updated it last weekend with picture rankings. I know it, what is wrong here..... of course then I remember that today is only March 4th. Gotta love those stupid jolts you have when you forget the obvious, or miss it all together.
